I’m obsessed with good shaped mugs. To me a straight sided mug just doesn’t cut it. When I have my drink I want it to stay hot. I want the handle to feel nice in my hand and not be obtrusive. I want the cup to look sleek and stylish and to accent my drink of choice.

Food safe and dishwasher proof.

This cup ticks all those boxes and is perfect for your morning beverage. Inspired by a Mourning Dove who sang to us like an owl in the woods when we were on vacation in Nova Scotia.

It is glazed on the outside with a pale grey- lilac satin glaze that is soft and smooth to the touch, and a transparent glaze inside. It is thrown with a slightly tapered in top to help keep your drink warm and a handle that fits comfortably in your hand because it was pulled by hand.

Is it food safe?

All areas where food and drink will be placed are glazed and are food safe, unless it is an ornamental piece and states otherwise.

Is it really Dishwasher proof

Technically yes, if I have written it is dishwasher proof in the product description, then it is.

But bear in mind dishwasher detergents are extremely caustic in nature, and so there may be some change to the glaze over a long period of time (as is also the case with commercially manufactured dishes).

A lot of my products are delicate and all of them are handmade, so we advise on the more delicate items to limit dishwasher use.
