Echo Collection – Handmade Porcelain Sake Set for Two

This handmade porcelain sake set from the Echo Collection is designed for intimate moments of connection and ritual. The set includes a traditional tokkuri carafe and two matching sake cups, wheel-thrown by hand and finished to a polished, silky smooth surface.

Each piece is decorated with a hand-drawn soundwave of a loon’s call, illustrated using underglaze pencil. The subtle pattern translates a fleeting sound from the Canadian landscape into a quiet visual rhythm that moves across the surface of the porcelain.

Crafted in small batches in Canada, the set reflects a commitment to thoughtful design, sustainable studio craftsmanship, and the beauty of handmade objects.

Echo Collection

The Echo Collection explores the meeting of sound and form. Each piece features a hand-drawn soundwave taken from birdsong, transforming a fleeting moment from the natural world into a lasting ceramic object.

Cups sizes are approximate as these were thrown by hand off the hump. Which is a way of throwing small items off one large lump of clay. This creates small variations in size.

 

Is it food safe?

All areas where food and drink will be placed are glazed and are food safe, unless it is an ornamental piece and states otherwise.

Is it really Dishwasher proof

Technically yes, if I have written it is dishwasher proof in the product description, then it is.

But bear in mind dishwasher detergents are extremely caustic in nature, and so there may be some change to the glaze over a long period of time (as is also the case with commercially manufactured dishes).

A lot of my products are delicate and all of them are handmade, so we advise on the more delicate items to limit dishwasher use.

Great care is taken in ensuring your purchase arrives safely in one piece, however, very rarely accidents can happen If your piece arrives in a less than desirable state and is damaged, please take a photograph of the packaging before opening, and the item once opened, and contact me immediately. We will do our best to rectify the situation.
